Education is the process of learned ignorance…

This is my first post, and as such, I feel obligated to tell you the blunt truth about your education before I go any further. You were systematically lied to by those you trusted… Some knowingly while the vast majority did so unknowingly, filling your head with the lies and half-truths they had been taught.

What was fed to you during your schooling at all levels was no exception. But unlike the nonsensical thought-terminating cliches and “common sense” vomited out by your parents and peers, this was done scientifically. It was deliberately designed for the purpose of making you fit into your place in society.

I could go on a massive rant about it, but I found this audio track of a speech by John Taylor Gatto that explains it pretty well. After listening to it several times, I can’t find much of anything in it that my research disagrees with…

Pay careful attention to what Mr. Gatto says and think back about your own schooling. It hopefully help you realize why those days were the painful drudgery that they were, leaving you no better prepared for adulthood than when you stepped through the doors of kindergarten.
